How to compare calendar dates
- Choose the start and end dates.
- Read the signed day difference and absolute weeks-and-days breakdown.
- Enable Include both dates when counting every date in a range.
Elapsed days versus inclusive counts
January 1 to January 8 is 7 elapsed days or 8 inclusive dates. Equal dates have zero elapsed days and one inclusive date. Reversing the dates makes the signed elapsed difference negative; inclusive counts are always positive.
Leap years and time zones
This tool uses Gregorian calendar dates from year 0001 through 9999. It includes leap days and ignores clock times and daylight saving changes. It counts all calendar days, including weekends, rather than business days.
