Text Line Interleaver

Alternate lines from two text lists, keeping duplicates and blank lines and appending remaining lines from the longer list.

Combine two lists in alternating order

Paste each list into its own box. The result takes one line from A, then one from B, and repeats. When one list ends, remaining lines from the other list are appended. Use it to pair prompts and answers, labels and values, or two ordered sets of notes.

Blank lines and line endings

Duplicates, spaces, and blank lines are preserved. A completely empty input represents zero lines. A final newline terminates the last line and does not add an extra blank item; two final newlines include one blank item. Windows and old Mac line endings are normalized to a newline. Output uses newline separators and ends in a newline when at least one item exists, preserving a final blank item when copied.

Limits and privacy

Each input accepts up to 100,000 characters. This tool interleaves rows without sorting, matching, or deduplicating them. Text processing stays in your browser. Copy the result into your editor or spreadsheet.
